Seriously speaking...

On Saturday I'm going to Chicago until the New Years at least, so I don't know how often I'll be able to come and write here. But I'll try, and post some photo's aswell. After I come back I will promise you a surprise of sorts. But no revealing until then...
Well, I'll leave some hints on the way. :) First one is this link. I don't know why I didn't put this earlier, but I guess it's never too late. One of their activists and one of the few experts in modern slavery, Kevin Bales, was my Human rights class Professor this semester and that is probably the class I enjoyed the most so far in all of my studies. Not because of the topics ofcourse, which were dark and gloomy as anything, but the way it was conducted and the ideas we shared, truly amazing.
But that's not the point. Anyone who sometimes gets an urge to donate something to people, this is the place you should go to. They're doing such an amazing job all over the world, and I just hope that I'll be able to get involved in the future.
The other hint will be the best selling book on Amazon at the moment, soon to be a huuuge movie. Heh, after slaves there isn't much I can say that has any significance. FreeTheSlaves!!!

P.S. These photo's change every time you load this page, so please do. ;)

Here I Am...

Never mind, an old song... To begin with, a brief account of our visit to Washington D.C., a lovely place that by some strange universal accident landed on a wrong continent. :) We didn't get much chance to walk around the City, somewhat because of the rain and also our busy schedule. But we did see (at least from afar) most of the most famous monuments that make this city what it is. We were located in the City Center so we also saw all the old architecture that one wouldn't expect anywhere outside Europe, and also got a tour of a big fortress Americans call State Department. But we got a chance to see a whole lot of Bosnian politicians. I do not want to curse on this blog so I will just skip the general impression I got from our political "elite" and religious leaders. With people like that our country can only go – downhill. I did get a chance to meet a lot of interesting people outside of that group. I made a little mistake, 9 Bosnian students came to that anniver...

Yogalistic

SORE ALL OVER!!! Seriously people, my roommate actually told me this morning I was breathing hard for some reason, and I think it was from exhaustion! But I think my muscles are actually rejoycing at the chance to do some real work after a long time. I think the only other time I felt like this in the past five years was after a two day trip across the mountains around Sarajevo with skiis and a lot of other mountaineering gear. Don't want to spread the story long and wide 'cos most of the stuff I mention you wouldn't have even heard of anyways. Yes, it's Yoga. Before Yoda, today Yoga. I guess I was actually subcontiously considering Yoga lessons when I posted that picture... But anyways, there're a lot of FREE lessons for OleMiss students and teaching staff (heh, when will we see a thing like that in Bosnia???) during the week and I had some extra time yesterday and hence my complaining. We actually did the same excercises as in this small pic, but don't ask me ...
